Whew! I got a nice 4am 'wake up call' today, lol! My lil' Corgi girl was in labor!

It took 5 hours before she had her first puppy, another hour for the second one, and then the last one we actually lost due to us not realizing that she was taking WAY too long to deliver it. The water burst inside her and drowned the poor little guy. I feel horrible about that mistake. So now I've learned how long to wait before it's time to go to the vet! She was just too tired to push that last puppy out. I had called the vet and they said to bring her in by a certain time, and when that time came we were actually walking out the door and she suddenly dropped that last puppy like it was nothing! We tried and tried to save it but it had just been in there with that water too long.

But we do have two very healthy pups and my female is very healthy herself. We have a male and a female. We've named the male Draco and the female Bella (short for Bellatrix). My brother and his girlfriend are taking Bella and we're not sure who's taking Draco yet.

This has been an all day affair (we just got back from the vet maybe 30min ago) and I feel exhausted. And I wasn't even the one in labor!!
